The Pushpa Rekha

The Pushpa Rekha Indian Palmistry

The line seperating the first phalanx (rhea) from the second (athena)is called the pushpa rekha or the wheat line, also known as phela rekha. If the line is firm and clear, it means you will always have enough to eat. It's especially fortunate to have what appears to be a grain of wheat or rice(yav)in it. The owner will have the basic necessities of life, no matter how bad times may get.

According to ancient palmistry, a good wheat line predicts longevity.

The wheat line often consists of two lines male and female. On a man's hand the subsidiary line is called stri rekha (women's line) or in woman's hand the subsidiary line is called purusha rekha (man's line). If the subsidiary line is broken it indicates disturbances in the family.
